The BCIS secure proposal service processes information needed to prepare, deliver, review, and retain commercial insurance proposal records.

Information handled

Records may include business and contact information, carrier quote details, proposal selections, electronic-consent responses, timestamps, IP address, browser information, delivery activity, and signed acceptance records.

How information is used

BCIS uses this information to present proposals, verify intended recipients, document requests, notify the producer, prevent misuse, and maintain required business and audit records. The service is not designed to collect payment-card information.

Storage and service providers

Proposal records and source documents are stored using access-controlled cloud services used to operate this site. Records are retained according to the stated transaction record and any longer legal, carrier, litigation-hold, or agency requirement.
